Halloween Festivities!

Sean and I decided to host a Halloween Party this year at our house.  We made a yummy witch's brew and everyone brought yummy food to share.  Brandon and Logan enjoyed seeing each other and wore their Halloween costumes and ran around the house hyper on sugar and energy.  We carved pumpkins in our garage since it was raining outside.

Halloween this year was on a Wednesday.  The weekend before we went with Brooke, Taylor, and Logan to Bridgeport Village to trick or treat at the shops at Bridgeport Village.  It was raining on and off that entire weekend but Brandon and Logan enjoyed seeing other and had fun getting candy.  Brandon loved sampling all the different candy he got.  He also loved running around Bridgeport Village in his costume.

On Halloween, Brandon and I handed out candy to the kids while we were waiting for Sean to get home from work.  Brandon saw the other kids dressed up in costumes and immediately wanted to get in his costume.  Once we got him in his costume he tried to run off with some of the trick-or-treaters and follow them down the street!  He loved answering the door and seeing the kids dressed up and giving them candy.  Prior to Halloween Brandon kept talking about pumpkins and ghosts (I am not sure how he learned about ghosts).  He never fully got saying "trick or treat" down but I am sure he will have mastered it by next year!

Our neighborhood is the kind of neighborhood where busloads of kids get dropped off from other neighborhoods.  I got a $14 200 piece huge bag of candy from Costco and it was gone within 45 minutes.  We then shut down and took Brandon treat or treating.  At first Brandon was a bit timid ringing the doorbells and knocking on the doors but by the end of the night he was running from house to house and knocking on the doors happily.  He also said "thank you" each time he was given candy, which was really cute.  We ended up trick or treating for almost an hour and Brandon had quite the loot.  We are slowly giving him candy every couple days so he is not getting too much all at once.  Brandon has come so far from the almost 11 month old he was a year ago who was just learning how to walk!
