Lulu before we got her

We got sweet video and photos of Lulu often from the breeder as she grew.  Lulu was born on July 2nd and I was given a text by the breeder the night before that her mom was showing early signs of labor.  I woke up early on the 2nd and checked in on the nest cam and she hadn't been born yet.  I kept watching as I was getting ready for the day and I actually saw her being born!  I was surprised that there was not another puppy as we had thought there were 2 but it was only Lulu.  I then got a phone call from the breeder telling us that she was ours!  I was so surprised and excited as I had thought that we wouldn't have gotten her as there was only one of her.  After that we got frequent photos and updates up to when we were able to bring Lulu home.  Here are some of her photos from the breeder as a little pup!

Camping with the Pomerleau clan in middle of August

We got back from the beach on Monday and then had our camping trip to Timothy Lake with Sean's side of the family three days later on Thursday.  It took lots of time to get all of our camping gear ready and to pack up food and clothes for the kids.  We got everything packed up and then headed out to go camping in the early afternoon once Sean's parents met us at our house.  We got to the campground at around 5:00 PM and unloaded all of our items and set up camp.  Sean's sister came a few hours later and then we all had dinner together.  The cousins were so excited to be reunited!  It was a bummer that due to the dry weather we were having we were unable to have a campfire.  After dinner we got the kids to bed and then the adults stayed up a bit later talking.

The next day we got up and had a yummy breakfast.  Each of us was in charge of a meal and Sean and I made eggs, bacon, and hash browns.  Papa was eager to start fishing and Brandon, Sean, and him went fishing first after breakfast.  The rest of us walked down to the lake to check it out.

After we saw Papa, Sean and Brandon we headed back to the campground to get into our swim suits as the kids were excited to swim.  We blew up the floats and the kids had a blast swimming at the lake.  The water was warm from it being a warm summer.  It was the perfect temperature.

After the kids finished swimming, we headed back to the campground and the adults had a fun wine and cheese pairing.  We tasted a lot of yummy wines and cheeses.  After that we had a steak dinner and then hung around and played games and then we all went to bed.

The next day, Sean, Kevin, and Brandon went fishing with Papa after breakfast.  Pam, Bianca, Olivia, and I went hiking at Little Crater Lake nearby.  The girls and us had a blast hiking.  I had gone there before about 10 years ago with Brooke and Taylor when we camped there but it had been a while.  The lake has an amazing clear turquoise color.  The girls did great on the 1.5 mile hike and we even took 17 year old Sweet Pea in a little doggie pack.

After we got back from Little Crater Lake we were hot and sweaty so we changed into our swim suits and headed down to the lake.  The girls got to go fishing with Papa and the rest of us enjoyed swimming in the lake.  The girls made it back from fishing with Papa and Olivia caught a fish-her first one!  We enjoyed watching the sunset on our last evening at Timothy Lake.  The sunset was breathtaking.  We had such a fun time camping.
