First trip to the zoo in March, re-doing Brandon's room, and watching the Ducks basketball team make it to the Final Four

We finally had some decent weather in March at the end of Spring break so I took the kids to the zoo.  We had a blast seeing all of the animals and going on the carousel ride (Olivia and Brandon's first time) along with the zoo train.  The animals were out and we saw some interesting ones like some tortoises making baby tortoises and the porcupines always my favorite.

That weekend we also finished up Brandon's Pokemon room which I had been trying to finish since his birthday in December.  I finally got the Pokemon water color drawings I ordered on Etsy and got them framed and then we put up the Room Decals he got for his birthday and we got him a cute lamp.  His room was all set up and looked awesome.

This weekend we also watched the Oregon Ducks Men's basketball team playing in the Final Four.  We were able to watch it with our good friends Ben and his girl friend Jaime and went down to near down town to several fun little bars with them.  We got a baby sitter for the kids so that was fun.  It was very sad to watch the Ducks lose by one though at the end (they had so many chances).  But still a great accomplishment!

Update in March on Brandon in Kindergarten and the Mother-Son School dance

Some fun photos of Brandon's class taken in February and March by his teacher who e-mails them to us.  The kindergarteners got to take over the school when the rest of the kids were on field trips and had a blast!  I also helped out on the 100th day class celebration, which was a blast.

Brandon's school had a Mother-Son Rock in Roll Dance.  It got off to a bit of a rocky start with Brandon in tears with having to take a picture with me but quickly subsided.  Brandon was super excited to see all of his kinder buds and had a blast dancing.  The guy really has some moves!  He even got some of his friends who were not so into the dancing to dance.  The DJ played good music and had a kid up there accompanying him which made it fun.  They also had fun neon lights and other strobe lights.  It was nice meeting some of the other mom's in Brandon's class and talking to them more.

Rachel and Jasper visit and St. Patrick's day!

In the middle of March, my sister Rachel and my nephew Jasper flew and visited us.  They stayed with us for 5 days and it was so much fun.  Brandon, who has a very special and close relationship with his Auntie Rachel, loves Jasper and loved having them around when he got home from school.  Jasper loved seeing both Olivia and Brandon each morning and would actually cry when they left for school.  My mom also stayed which was fun so we got to see more of her.  I was super busy at work that week unfortunately so I had to work most of the time but my sister was there to figure out where she wanted to live and work as she is moving back to Oregon soon.  It was very nice to see them.

Hugs all around with Brandon, Rachel, and Jasper

St. Patrick's day occurred the Friday after my sister left and went back to California.  It was a pretty low key day although Brandon said the Leprechaun visited them at school and left them some treats.  The kids wore green and I got just a few pictures this year due to me having to rush out of the house to get to my Friday Pilates class on time in the morning.  The kids got Lucky Charms for breakfast and then we had a pretty low key evening.
