Pomerleau Family Blog: June 2016

Brandon started Tigard Little League t- ball this spring. He got to be on the same team as his best bud Logan since they allowed kids who were 5 by March 1st on the team and 6 year olds as well. They got snazzy uniforms and were named the Thunder. It was also the most organized team that Brandon has been on yet (likely due to there being 5 and 6 year olds on the team). They had 3 coaches so they broke the kids up at practice into groups of 4. They ran bases, worked on fielding to grounders and throwing to first, hit off the tee and then by the end of the year most of the kids were hitting when the coaches threw to them. They also had practices every Wednesday for an hour and games on Saturdays for an hour. It was really fun watching Brandon play and he seemed to really enjoy it!

We also continued Brandon's swim lessons for another session. He had moved up into the Ray class and wanted to do it again so he could hopefully move up the last pre-school level. He gets to move up to the regular age swim lessons once he turns 6. It was awesome watching his progress and he is now doing what resembles to be a front crawl and is very comfortable in the water.

Olivia continued with gymnastics and got to move up with the 2.5-3 year old class. She loves her teacher who is a red head like her. She loves going in the foam pit, doing the obstacle courses, and the large trampoline pad. She is learning a routine to perform in the Academy's "Mini Olympics" that she is excited about and gets to wear a cute Red, White, and Blue leotard.

Such a cutie! Gymnastics in June

I took the kids to the zoo on two Fridays, once in April and once in May. The kids loved going to the zoo and watching all the animals. The second time was especially fun because we got to see porcupines playing tag with each other (super cute). Brandon's favorite animal was the crocodiles and Olivia liked the giraffes and both kids really liked the elephants and the yummy ice cream treat we got!
