Brandon wrapped up his MVP basketball league in mid-March. The league ended up going a week later due to the snow day that forced the basketball camp and the first game to be cancelled (the league had to follow the school cancellation policy since they use the school for the games). Brandon loved basketball and had a very positive experience. He was also quite skilled for having only played once on a basketball league when he was barely 4 at the YMCA. He was tall and that really helped but he was also able to shoot quite well. He also seemed to really enjoy his teammates and his coach (who was one of the girl’s on the team Grandpa). Most of the time he was either the leading scorer or the second leading scorer on the team. Their team was also quite good and although they don’t keep track of score, they won often. It was also awesome to see the progress that his basketball team made from the beginning of the season to the end, where they went from chasing the ball (often from each other) to actually playing positions, dribbling, passing, and playing defense. They got NBA basketball cards after each game and they got a medal at the end of the year. Brandon loved basketball and is looking forward to doing the league again and a basketball camp this summer.
