Easter 2019

The Friday before Easter we had fun dyeing Easter eggs. We made some fun glitter and tie dye ones this year.

We went down to Eugene for Easter this year. It fell late in April this year. Brandon and Olivia both had baseball and soccer games so we headed down to Eugene right both games. We made it to the fun Easter egg hunt we went to at a local church near Sean's parents house just in time. The kids had fun hunting for Easter eggs in their age group. We headed back to Sean's parents house after that and hung out until the Easter bunny came the next day.

On Easter Sunday the kids woke up super excited to go hunting for Easter eggs. They woke up early but we made them stay in bed until 8:00 AM. They went on their candy egg hunt first around Grammy and Papa's house and then they had some breakfast. We got dressed up in our Easter clothes and then did a fun blind bag Easter egg hunt outside of Grammy's house. Lulu had fun going to Grammy and Papa's house for the first time and Sweet Pea did pretty good with her. We had fun going to the park near Grammy and Papa's house and then headed back home.

Woodburn Tulip Festival 2019

Brooke and I took the kids to the Tulip Festival one very wet rainy Sunday in mid April. The tulips were extremely late in blooming due to the snow we had in early March so we had to go later than normal to see them bloom. Brooke was out of the town the following weekend and then the weekend after that we had the school's auction so it was really our only day to go. Unfortunately it had been raining hard and was chilly most of the weekend and it was that way when we went. We left early in the morning to avoid a torrential downpour. I decided to take Lulu with me as I figured it would be fun for her to come and get out of the house. She had just been shaved due to getting knots in her legs so she was quite hairless. I probably should have brought a jacket for her too!

We got to the tulip festival and immediately went for the fields before the rain. The tulips were in 60% bloom but it was not crowded at all so we were happy about that. Lulu and the kids had fun amongst the tulips. Poor Luke fell into the mud. Lulu got pretty muddy and then she got cold (again I should have brought a jacket) so I took her back to the car to hang out until we were done. All of the kids' rides were closed due to approaching rain but the kids got to go a fun jumping trampoline halter ride and then Olivia and Addie got to ride ponies. We ate lunch there and then got a treat and headed back home. It was a fun day at the tulip festival, next year we will go when its better weather!
