Strawberry festival and Father's Day weekend celebration

The day after the kids finished school I ended up working from home and Brandon had a fun playdate with Logan in the morning.  Then we dropped Olivia off at Rocking Horse and then we met Brooke at Jimmy John's for lunch.  After that we went to Lee Farms' Strawberry Festival with the two boys.  It was relaxing to just have two kids and the boys enjoyed running around the farm going in the hay mazes, on the tractor ride, in the bounce house, and on the cow rides.  They seemed to enjoy the tall slide the most.  It was fun spending time just with them especially since Olivia and I are going on several trips this summer together.

After we finished up at the Strawberry Festival we picked Olivia up at Rocking Horse and then headed home.  We got home and then basically turned around and headed to Eugene for the weekend to celebrate Father's day.  We met Grammy and Papa at Pappy's for dinner and the kids had fun running around in the balls and playing.  Then we headed home and relaxed for the evening.  The next day, the boys got up and ready to go fishing.  Grammy, Olivia and I went to Target where Olivia picked out her birthday present from Grammy (a unicorn swimming pool, a cute rainbow purse, a LOL confetti pop doll, and some hatch animals (she's a collector).  After going to Target, we headed up to Sarver winery where we had a fun picnic and did some wine tasting.

Then we headed back home and had a yummy steak dinner with twice baked potatoes.  We ate outside since the weather was so good.  The kids had fun running around in the backyard and we had s'mores after in Papa's fire pit.

The next day I got up and went running before it got super hot.  We went to a local farm Lone Pine and we all had fun with the goats again and got some yummy produce.  Then we headed home.  It was a really fun weekend but busy!

Olivia's graduation from Rocking Horse and last day of school

It was super bittersweet going to Olivia's graduation from Rocking Horse.  She started there as a small tiny 5 month baby that I entrusted them to take care of and now she is a reading and writing almost 5 year old graduating from preschool!  What made it even more bittersweet was that all of Olivia's friends graduating with her had been with her most of the time since she was in the infant room and they all grew up together.  In many ways they are as close as siblings.  I also enjoyed getting to know the staff of Rocking Horse and all the parents of Olivia's friends over the years.  The night before Olivia's graduation, I made a video/photo montage of her over the last 5 years.  I stayed up really late making the video but it turned out really cute.

Olivia's last day of school was on Thursday and she had her last dance class first thing in the morning.  I was able to get some cute last day of school pictures before we had to rush off to dance class. After that, her teachers wanted her to come to school for a few hours to wrap stuff up.  Then my mom picked her up and they spent the afternoon together.

We went back to Olivia's school at 6:00 PM for her graduation.  The kids got dressed up in caps and gowns which was really cute. Ms. Lincoln and teacher Maria had a really cute ceremony where the kids said what they were most excited about for going to their new schools sang a song and said a cute poem.  The kids got to go up on stage and get their diplomas even.  Afterwards we got to get yummy pie (everyone brought one) as it was part of the poem they recited.  It was a super fun graduation day but I can't believe my baby girl is going off to kindergarten.

Brandon's last days of school and class party

I got to help out at Brandon's end of the year classroom party.  The room mom had fun little stations all set up outside that the kids got to go to and play.  She also had some yummy cookies and Pirate booty for snacks.  Brandon's teacher Mrs. Lambert made the cutest first grade video montage of all the class pictures over the year and she gave us all a copy to take home.  The kids had a blast just relaxing and enjoying the end of the school year.

I got some cute pictures of Brandon on his last day of school.  So crazy to see the difference between his last day of 1st grade and his 1st day of 1st grade!  He has learned so much too.  His sign read that he was 7.5 years old on the last day of school, his teacher is Mrs. Lambert, he is 53.5" tall, and he wants to be a Ninja when he grows up.  We are excited to see what 2nd grade brings!
