Pomerleau Family Blog: Easter 2015-Fun with Family!

It was kind of bittersweet this year celebrating Easter and knowing it was going to be our last major holiday in our house off of Bellflower Street. We are ready to move onto our new bigger home but have so many memories in this house with all of our kids coming home from the hospital to this home and Sean and I really growing up into adults and sharing our first years of marriage in this home.

We had Sean's parents and then Sean's sister Dawn's family to our house for Easter weekend. They all arrived Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday. It was really nice seeing our niece Bianca and nephew Kevin and getting the cousins together since they are so close in age with Bianca turning two in October and Olivia turning two in July and Kevin and Brandon only being a year apart in age. Olivia and Bianca interacted some but not too much but Kevin and Brandon were best buds with Kevin communicating really well with Brandon this time.

On Saturday we got up and then we went to the kids' school's Easter Egg Hunt at Rocking Horse. The kids loved going to their school and hunting for eggs and seeing their friends. Last year, Olivia was too little of course to participate and was napping during the egg hunt so Sean stayed home with her. This year, she was a bit confused about the whole process but once she discovered that the eggs had candy in it she got pretty excited. Brandon had a lot of fun going after the eggs with his friends. They had some crafts too at school that was fun to do.

We came home and the kids looked at their eggs and then had a nap. When they got up they played outside with Papa and then we went to the park near our new house. We also drove by our new house to show Sean's family it. The kids had a lot of fun at the park and ran off some energy. We came back to the house and then had fun dyeing and decorating a lot of Easter eggs and BBQing.

The finished eggs! They all looked so great! We had glitter eggs and eggs that you could write stuff on

The Easter bunny came and left some goodies for the kids in their Easter baskets including bunny Pez, a golden Lintz chocolate bunny, markers that smell for Brandon, and little egg Crayons for Olivia. They also both got some fun Lego sets to play with from Mom and Dad. They were very excited to see their Easter baskets. The Easter bunny also left out plastic eggs with candy in them throughout the house so they got to go on another Easter egg hunt.

We went over to Sean's Aunt Cyndi's house for Easter brunch and another egg hunt. We got to see their beautifully remodeled kitchen. There was lots of yummy food and it was nice to see family again. Olivia and Brandon had fun again running around outside looking for some more eggs! Such a fun Easter weekend with family!
