Moving in and enjoying our new house!

After a very stressful time getting our old house on Bellflower street already to sell and then finding our new house on Chardonnay Ave and making the decision to buy it, we finally were able to move in to our house in Chardonnay at the end of April.  We closed on our Bellflower house on April 9th and then rented back for a month.  We rented a big storage container for our driveway and packed it up with all of our stuff and then we had it moved to our new house.  We also had Sean's parents come and help us with their big truck and had the College Movers help us with all the heavy items for four hours.  Moving was stressful but when it was over it was so nice.  It was especially stressful moving with two small kids 4 and under.

Prior to buying the house, we had decided to do some cosmetic stuff to the house.  Nothing major but some stuff to make the house look a bit nicer and a bit more of our own.  We painted Olivia's room a pretty sage green color with a fun coral/pink accent wall.  Olivia's room had been a boring tan color.  We also decided to change out of our countertops which were a white tile and hard to keep clean and needed to be re-grouted to a fun easy to take care of Quartz.  It was hard to pick out the color Quartz! With the help of my coworkers I ended up going with a Caesarstone Alpine Mist color.  It was really pretty gray with streaks of white countertop.  We also had the backsplash re-done with tile glass backsplash and a huge cast iron sink and a new spray out faucet.

We got to have a fun photographer come to our new house and take photos of us in our new house.  Our mortgage company paid for a photographer to come and take photos of us for the rights to the photos so they could use in advertisement if they want.  It was a fun photo shoot but only two weeks after we moved in so was a bit hectic.  Olivia was also in a terrible mood and would not take any photos unless Mommy was holding her.
