So Olivia has been obsessed with the movie Frozen ever since she started liking watching TV and movies which was at about 20 months old. For a while there, we had to watch Frozen every day and she requested the "Let it Go" Elsa making her ice castle scene over and over again. She even began singing and dancing to "Let it Go." So it was a very easy decision to have a Frozen themed birthday party for Olivia. She recently has really gotten into playing with her friends and having them over so we decided to invite her group of friends from school to the party (there are 4 of them in her class) and Addie and then also our good friend Rosie and Thomas' twins Mikayla and Trevin (who are 18 months old) and Tyne my good friend Beth's daughter who is 20 months old. We also let Brandon invite his good friend Andrew from school and Logan. Two of the four kids from Liv's class couldn't make it due to vacations so we ended up having 10 kids to her party. It was one of the first times that the kids almost out numbered the adults! As Frozen is so popular, it was easy to find decorations and plates and stuff fairly inexpensively at Walmart and the Dollar Tree. I found a giant Olaf balloon and a giant ballon that was Elsa on one side and Anna on the other and another pack of four balloons for a great deal on Amazon. I just had them filled a nearby Party Shop. Olivia loved playing with the big balloons and they are still floating in our house two weeks later.

All ready to party! |
I was going to have a Frozen bouncy house (like the kind you see at fairs) dropped off and assembled in our backyard for something for the kids to do. However, all week I watching the weather and it looked like it was supposed to be any where from 100-105 which is really hot for June so I canceled the bounce house idea and just went to Marshalls and got another larger baby pool, some more sand toys, an Elsa Frisbee, and some water balloons for the older kids. I pulled out our little house that we have in the backyard and cleaned it out. I also filled up the sand table with more sand and got the water table all cleaned out. We filled up two baby pools and brought out a ton of water toys (mostly old bath toys that used to clutter our old house). I also brought out bubbles and sidewalk chalk to play with. The result was a really fun outdoor area to play for the kids. The kids loved being able to run around from activity to activity.

Party fun in our backyard |
Inside, we had all the food including "Olaf's eyes" (raisins), "Olaf's noses" (carrots), "Stevn's snack mix" (Chicago popcorn mix), "Icicles" (marshmallow bars with blue sprinkles), and "ice bars" (Jello bars). I also had a 16" two layer banana cake made at Lamb's Bakery that we decorated with Frozen figurines that I bought. The cake looked amazing and Olivia liked having her Frozen figurines after. We turned on the TV and let the little guests dance to "Let it Go" on Frozen which Olivia loved. She could have danced all day. Then we opened up presents. Olivia got lots of Frozen items, quite a few activity and sticker books and coloring books. She also got an Elsa doll, a tea set, and several books. Then we had cake and ice cream. The kids dug right into the cake and Olivia loved it when everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to her. It was a really fun day and Olivia had so much fun having all of her friends over. It was also a lot of fun to have her second birthday party in our new house. There was so much space for everyone to play!
