Pomerleau Family Blog: Quick trip down to Corvallis before Christmas

I had been planning on taking the kids down to Corvallis for several days in the middle of the week before Sean’s family came up to our house for Christmas. Sean had to work but I took the entire week before Christmas off largely due to the fact that Brandon was on winter break and I didn’t want to pay for two weeks of daycare for him and wanted to spend time with the kids. I was planning on coming home from Sun River, unpacking, then hanging out for the night and then heading down the next day. I decided though it might be easier to just drop Sean off and unpack the car with the stuff we didn’t need and then load up my Subaru with our already packed suitcases and head down to Corvallis that evening. The kids were troopers in the car and got about an hour break at home running around and playing and then headed off to Corvallis. We arrived around 7:30 PM and the kids were happy to CiCi and Baba and Pumpkin. It was very cold the entire time we were in Corvallis but we made it to the kids’ favorite park, Wildcat Park and the kids discovered that they both loved the tire swing a lot. We also went to the Pantega Christmas lights at the Benton County fairgrounds twice (once with Baba and Pumpkin and once with CiCi). We drove around CiCi and Baba’s neighborhood that had a lot of cool Christmas lights too. Our last day we ended up going to see the Disney movie Moana (that came out over Thanksgiving) and going out to Mexican food. The kids and the adults all loved the movie and the kids were happy to find that I could download and play the Soundtrack immediately on Apple Music. Olivia keeps asking me when she can see it again. We exchanged gifts with my parents and then had to head back to our house to celebrate Christmas with the Pomerleau family.
