Pomerleau Family Blog: Olivia's 5th birthday party

Olivia had her 5th birthday party 6 days before her real birthday on Saturday June 30th. She chose to have her party at Pump It Up as she went to her best friend Lauren's party there and had a blast. I was a little sad that we weren't having Olivia's birthday party at our house but it was nice to not have to clean up and worry about organizing it all and getting all the food put together. Pump It Up was really easy to set up. I ended up bringing some left over decorations from Olivia's unicorn party last year and decorating the Pump It Up Party room. Olivia and I had fun making her birthday cupcakes (chocolate and funfetti) the night before. I also brought some Pirate Booty and Gummy Bears for snacks along with juice boxes.

Olivia was so excited the day of her birthday party. Her party was at 10:00 AM. Olivia got dressed in her special Rainbow Dash tutu birthday outfit she chose on Etsy. We all got up pretty early and headed over to Pump It Up around 9:15 and got there 30 minutes before her party. It was so easy to set up for her party this time instead of running around and cleaning up the house beforehand. I found a bunch of her left over unicorn decorations from last year and re-used them for the party room. I got some cute pictures of Brandon and Olivia before her party started.

Olivia's friends all arrived and she had a blast running around and jumping with them. Her friends Savannah, Adelaide, Lauren, Gino and James came from Rocking Horse. She had my good friends from college Erin and her daughter Vivian and Rosie and her twins Mikayla and Trevin come along with Brooke's entire clan-Addie, Logan, and Luke. The first 30 minutes of the party they were in a different room with different slides and a pit where you try to climb to the top. Everyone had a blast flying down the slides.

After 30 minutes, they moved the kids into another room where they had a giant ball that they could roll around in, slides, and an obstacle course. They turned the lights off and turned the black light on so the kids got to do some cosmic jumping. Olivia loved this room the best.

After we were done jumping, the kids got to go into the party room and we had snacks (Pirate booty and Gummy bears and juice boxes) and then cupcakes. Everyone sang happy birthday to Olivia. We had chocolate cupcakes and funfetti cupcakes and for the first time everyone was into the chocolate! After cupcakes, Olivia got to open up all of her birthday presents. She got a lot of fun toys from her friends including an Ariel barbie doll and Elsa doll, an LOL doll and a unicorn, fun cupcake dolls that go from cupcakes to dolls, a fun water game, some shopkins, and a Batgirl doll. We gave out little goodie bags-a few pieces of candy, Hatchanimal blind bags, and some unicorn jewelry. After that we were done and it was only 12:00 PM! Olivia said it was her best birthday ever. I loved that this was my least stressful birthday every for her.
