Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Fun!

We were supposed to host Christmas with Sean's family but given the rise in Coronavirus cases both the Washington and Oregon Governor's were not recommending traveling between the two states over Christmas.  That meant that Dawn's family couldn't make it down to our house for Christmas much to the kids' sadness that they could not see their cousins.  We still got to see Sean's parents for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at least.  On Christmas Eve the kids' Elf on the Shelf Ella left them a little present-fun virtual pets-Tamagotchis from like the ones we had in the early 90s.  The kids and I had a blast baking my mom's yummy white chocolate gingerbread cookies.  We loved using my new Kitchenaid Mixer that I got myself for Christmas.  It was so nice having a machine do all the mixing for me and it worked so well!

Family matching spirit on Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve-looks like Santa came!

The kids let us sleep in until 8:30 AM (per Papa's request) and then were so excited to go downstairs and see all their presents.  Santa was really good to these poor quarantined kids this year.  It was hard to keep them contained upstairs but they went down youngest to oldest and made a bee-line for their stockings and their presents pile.  Teddy and Lulu even got stuff in their stockings this year and Daddy and Teddy got coal in their stockings!

So excited for Christmas!

Checking out their stockings

Daddy found his coal!

Lulu was excited for her stocking!  She got a candy cane frosted bone.

Teddy liked his candy cane "cookie"

So excited to open up her first present

Daddy got a pasta maker!

Having a blast opening up presents

Lulu and Teddy got a fun Christmas bark box and a 6 month subscription for Christmas!

The box was so cute with it being a Charlie Brown  Christmas theme

We had a yummy Christmas morning breakfast and got some family Christmas photos under the Christmas tree.  Olivia's big presents this year were a 9 foot long balance beam, a gymnastics cheese wedge mat that she could practice back hand springs on, and a special private lesson with her gymnastics coach at our house to learn how to use all the new gymnastics equipment.  Brandon's big presents this year was a 3 month subscription of Food Stirs (a bakery subscription), lots of fun Mario Lego sets, and a video game chair! We had a yummy prime rib dinner with Sean's parents to end the night.  It was a great pandemic Christmas considering we couldn't have everyone come.

Christmas breakfast time!
