After Labor Day weekend, Brandon started his first day of Junior Kindergarten. He continued to go to his school Rocking Horse Day school, but got moved up from the pre-school room to the Junior Kindergarten Room. He was super excited for the last year to move up to Jr. Kindergarten but then right before got cold feet and didn't want to move over to the new room. I think he was nervous about his new teachers and new routine and room. A lot of his friends moved over to Jr. Kindergarten with him from preschool which helped. It took about 3-4 weeks but he was excited to go to school again and used to his new setting.

In September, my sister Rachel came to visit for a long weekend. She flew into Portland I got to hang out with her for a good part of the day before she headed down to Corvallis. My mom, sister, and I went to Sokol Blosser winery for some yummy wine tasting in the afternoon and had a lot of fun. IT was a sunny Fall day.

Brandon started soccer in the middl of September. His good friend Logan and his neighbor Piper were signed up at the Sherwood YMCA so we ended up signing up. The team consisted of 3-4 year olds and it was indoor soccer. Piper's dad Bob coached the team along with Taylor who was the assistant coach. The kids had a lot fun running after the soccer ball and kicking it towards the goal. They were only 3-4 year olds so they didn't always understand who was on who's team and which way they were supposed to go to score a goal. But Brandon ran around and had fun and learned how to be on a team and share, which are good things to learn. He had so much fun that at the end of the season he asked if he could do basketball!

Towards the end of September, Brandon became obsessed with playing with CandyLand. He loves playing it each night before bed. I bought the kids a fun little play house and sled on Craigslist, which both kids loved. I was hoping that Olivia who loves to climb on everything in sight, would start climbing on the slide instead of all the furniture. It sorta worked for a few days...We went to Brandon's friend Piper (who is Logan's neighbor and who he plays soccer with) birthday party at Sky High Trampoline and had a lot fun.

As soon as it turned October, I got Olivia all dressed up in her Halloween outfits. I love Halloween time and the cute outfits. I was ashamed to say that Olivia had at least 3-4 various Halloween outfits and shirts.

We went to two Pumpkin patches in October. The first one we went to was the one we normally go to each year (I get a Groupon) Lee Farms in Tualatin. We went again this year with the Mowery Family. The first time we went was the first weekend in October and it was super hot (close to 90 degrees that day). It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a lot of fun amongst the pumpkins. We did hay mazes, rode the tractor hay barrel ride, ran amongst the pumpkins, did a bouncy house, and ate donuts and drank yummy home made cider. It was a fun family affair.

I took a Friday off in October and took the kids to Baggenstons Family Farm. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a ton of fun going through hay mazes and riding a tractor to the pumpkin patch where we picked out two pumpkins. The kids loved running through the pumpkin patches and picking out their pumpkins.
