Family photo shoot in Cook Park October 2014

I really wanted to get some fun, candid and non-studio photos done of our family in the fall.  Fall is one of my favorite times of the year.  I love that the mesh of golden years and deep reds that the leaves turn, and the crisp and cool mornings and evenings.  Everything feels so fresh in the fall.  I love the football games, Halloween, pumpkins, I love it all.  The weather also tends to be awesome in Oregon in the fall.  Usually with plenty of sunshine and it still stays quite warm.  Since it was my favorite season, I wanted to capture this in some family photos taken outside.  I chose Cook Park because it is my favorite park, one that I run at every day and I loved the various colors of the park.  The day we chose was a typical fall day in the middle of October.  I love running at Cook Park, with the friendly people that walk their dogs to the pretty trails.  One of my favorite spots in the park is the a pediatrician bridge.

Now Olivia did not do well with photographers at the last two times I took her to JC Penny Portraits for pictures.  She did fabulous at almost 9 months  and we got some of the cutest pictures of her and the family.  At her one year birthday photo shoot, she did okay but was not as joyful as she was at her 9 month shoot and we got quite a few more somber pictures of her.  At the last photo shoot I attempted with both kids in August when she was 14 months old, it was terrible. She cried and clung to me and hated the cameraman.  They even tried changing the cameraman to a woman and that did not help.  She hated having her picture taken.  Brandon, on the other hand, was a little ham, and I got some really cute pictures of him.

So I was hoping to get some cute, candid, non-poesy photos outside in the fall at my favorite time of the year.  Our good friend Sara is a talented photographer who has done weddings and other shoots on the side.  She took some adorable pictures of us 14 months earlier in August 2013 when Olivia was only a few weeks old.  This photo shoot went so well, way beyond my imagination.  Olivia was in a fairly good mood and Brandon was too.  We took the photos at 10:00 AM which was good and we were outside and let the kids run around.  I am so happy how the photos turned out and I think they capture our family perfectly.

Love this family shot of all us-Olivia is even smiling!

Love this picture of us just laughing

Daddy and Brandon horsing around

Brandon at 3 years 10 months

Brandon loves hugging his sister sometimes a little too tightly and we have to remind him not around the neck!  This picture exemplifies this perfectly.

I was behind Sara "hoping" like a bunny to make them laugh and it worked!

Some candids on the path as we walk along

Love this photo with Brandon and Sean in the background

The way that Olivia is wrapping her arms around me is so sweet and protective-she is my little "Koala Bear" as I lovingly call her as she loves to be in her mama's arms

Love this one too so much

Love this moment of sweet Olivia smiling and pointing to Daddy with his arms out for her and mommy holding her

Love this unique railroad shot

Still taking good family photos even at the end

Olivia ran into a puppy that looked like Pumpkin (my parents dog) and was in heaven
