Memorial Day weekend fun in Seattle

Sean's sister just recently had a baby girl at the end of April, Sofia, and invited us up to Seattle where she lives to visit them all.  They had recently bought a house in December and so we got to see their new house and the new baby.  We drove up Saturday morning since we thought the traffic would be terrible on Friday evening and we all had to work.  The kiddos did pretty good on the car ride (it helped that we had the I-pads).  We stopped about 2/3 of the way through in Olympia for lunch and let the kiddos run around for an hour at the McDonalds playground.  Then the kiddos actually napped for the rest of the trip until we got to Dawn's house which is north of Seattle in the town of Lynnwood.  The cousins were really excited to see each other  We hung around the house on Saturday and had some yummy Mexican food.

The next day we all woke up to some cloudy and rainy weather (typical Seattle!).  We hung around the house and then we went in the afternoon swimming at a local Rec pool at Lynnwood.  This was Olivia's first time swimming in almost 10 months and she loved it so much!  She was crazy and running all over the place and loved the water.  The pool had two large slides and a fun toddler slide area.  We came back and had a fun dinner and bonfire with smoores.  Everyone stayed up late and had fun.  I got lots of newborn baby snuggles with Sofia (who was only 3 weeks old) and was such a snuggler.

We left the next day on Memorial day mid morning.  We met my Uncle Carl at a fun park on Lake Washington called Magnuson Park.  Both kiddos really enjoy their Uncle Carl (especially Olivia) and it was nice to see them and to throw some rocks into Lake Washington and walk around and stretch our legs before the long trip back.  It was a really fun weekend and busy weekend!
