Strawberry Festival and Father's Day weekend in Eugene

I took the Friday off before Father's Day weekend as my parents were visiting my sister and baby Jasper in Oakland and I wanted to give the kids a break from daycare.  The Strawberry Festival also was going at Lee Farms, which we love to go to.  It worked out that Brooke and her kids were free on Friday as well to go with us.  The kids were happy to see each other and despite looking like it would rain most of the day we lucked out with the weather and did not get rained on.  They had the normal fun slides, hay mazes, bouncy house, tractor rides, and the cow ride.  They also had yummy ice-cream inside as well as a lot of berries.  The kids all had a blast together.

The whole gang on top of the tractor (it was hard to get everyone to look)

The seatbelt broke to their cow carton so I rode ahead to just make sure they didn't fall out. Very bumpy ride!

Later that day after Sean got off work, we headed down to Eugene to spend the weekend with Sean's family.  Sean and his dad and Brandon have a tradition of going fishing together on Father's Day.  On the way down to Eugene, we stopped in Albany and got some yummy Pho.  I was really surprised that both kids seemed to really enjoy Pho.

The first day in Eugene we went to Lone Family Farms and met some goats.  The goats were completely friendly and completely begging for food all the time.  You could feed the goats by putting coins in the feeder.  I became very friendly with one particular goat (and got a picture with him) until I saw him bucking off her baby to try to get all the food.  Bad Mama!  We spent the rest of the day hanging out by Sean's parents' house and made dinner together and we all went to bed pretty early.

The next day was Sunday and was Father's day.  The boys went off fishing pretty much right after they ate breakfast.  They went fishing off of a river this time.  Pam and I took Olivia to Toys R Us where Pam let Olivia pick out her birthday present.  She ended up picking out a Strawberry Shortcake House set.  Then we went out to Sarver Winery and did some wine tasting and enjoyed the view.  Olivia got some sparkling cider.  Then it was time to come back home to Portland.  A very fun weekend in Eugene!
