Pomerleau Family Blog: Fun Halloween activities

I was able to take the kids to the Trick or Treating event at the Oregon Zoo 1.5 weeks before Halloween. The kids got to dress up in their costumes and we got to walk around the zoo and do a fun Scavenger Hunt around the zoo and go trick or treating for candy at each station. It was a beautiful sunny day at the zoo. We had a lot of fun and we went early in the morning on Sunday so it wasn't too crowded. Such a fun time we! We are planning on going again next year now.

The weekend before Halloween after Olivia's last soccer game we headed to Al's Nursery to get $0.99 pumpkins. We were able to take Lulu with us into the Nursery and she had fun picking out the pumpkins with us. We picked out a few good ones and then brought them home to carve. I helped to get all the seeds out of the pumpkins and then Sean and the kids carved them. We had some pretty good looking pumpkins this year!

The Saturday before Halloween in the evening we went to a fun Halloween event put on by Tigard High School. We met the Mowery family there. The various high school clubs each designed a room in the high school and had fun games, decorations, little prizes and trick or treating. The kids all got to dress up in their costumes and it was free to the public. The kids had a lot of fun going to all the rooms. Some of them were very creative! My favorite was the "Coco" room after the recent Disney "Coco" movie. The kids had a lot of fun and we plan on doing this again next year.
