Pomerleau Family Blog: Brandon: The fifth month (April 2011)

At his four month doctor appointment, Brandon weighed in at 17 pounds and 1 ounce and was 26 inches tall. Brandon was in the 80% in heigh and 80% in weight at 4 months. He usually slept through the night from about 9:30 PM to about any where from 6:45 to 7:45 AM. Brandon was nursing about every three hours which, amounted to about 5-6 times a day.

Brandon likes to suck on his toes, he is extremely flexible! He can sit up supported by his hands and still loves to stand supported. Brandon also really got into sucking and chewing on his toys. He sometimes fights his naps and gets tired and cranky. He was not really on any of a nap schedule yet. Brandon can stand holding onto the coffee table by himself and can twist and roll over. His favorite toys were his teething toy (Sean called it a Chew toy) Sophie the giraffe, his exercsaucer activity center, and his jumperoo toward the end of the month. Toward the end of the month, Brandon was learning how to roll over from his back to tummy. He likes to fake cough to get attention, squeal, screech, and laugh.

Towards the beginning of April, I took Brandon down to visit my parents in Corvallis for a long weekend and to visit Sean's parents in Eugene. We had a lot of fun visiting family.

Everyone was impressed at JC Penny's because Brandon was only 4 12 months old and they were able to get him to pose standing up!

Toward the end of the month, we flew to Los Gatos, California to stay with my Aunt Lael, Uncle James, and cousins Lauren and Alex for 5 nights. We wanted to get a trip in before I went back to work. Brandon was the perfect age to travel. He was still young enough so he was not moving all over the place and was still sleeping quite a bit and was easy to keep entertained. He did great on the plane and was a awesome little traveler.

We hung out in Los Gatos and went shopping, had good dinners at Lael's, and just relaxed. The weather was really nice. We went to Santa Cruz one day and walked to the boardwalk. We went into San Francisco another day for the day and we got to see Tory and Rachel's apartments and their neighborhoods. The last day we were there we went back into the City to see a San Francisco Giants game. We got Brandon a little Giants hat. It was so cute. He did great at the Giants game. It was a really fun trip.
