On his actual birthday, I took the day off to spend with Brandon and Sean took a half day. We spent the morning relaxing with Olivia and watching Casper the Friendly Ghost DVDs that Uncle Carl had sent him. We dropped Olivia off at daycare and then met Daddy for lunch at Red Robin (Brandon's choice). After Red Robin, we went to the Peanuts Movie (super cute). We ended the day opening up presents and getting our Christmas tree. Brandon's big birthday presents was a Nerf gun from Daddy, Connect 4 Launchers, Avengers matchbox planes.

We had Brandon's birthday party this year at Safari Sam's (his choice as his good friend Logan had a fun birthday party there). Brandon wanted to have a Ninja Turtle themed birthday party. I made his birthday shirt on etsy (he picked out the design) and made his poster board on etsy as well and got it printed at Costco. I got his cake at Lamb's Bakery and he chose the Banana cake, which is what his sister had for her party as he loved it. The party ended up being so easy to have since there was no clean up, and we got a nice big room for everyone. We ended up getting 2 pizzas for the adults and the kids ran around having so much fun. We invited 10 kids but only 5 ended up coming although we had 4 kids 2 and under (Addie, Grant, Mikayla, and Trevin). Brandon didn't seem too upset since all of his best buddies could make it. Olivia and Addie had a blast running around the jungle area and they were suddenly old enough to make it around the obstacles. Brandon had a blast playing with all his buddies and playing the arcade games at the end. We even had a pinata in the middle of the party (Brandon's request). All in all, it was a great birthday and he said it was his favorite birthday ever! I can't believe he's five now!
