Camping at the Coast!

We drove down to Florence to go camping with Sean's family for three days.  It was fun to have the kids see Grammy and Papa and their cousin Bianca and Aunt and Uncle.  It was a long drive down to Florence but was worth it when we got there.  The kids were so excited to get to go camping again and to get to sleep in a big tent!  We camped at Honeymon park right near the sand dunes.  There was a playground right near our campsite which was really fun.

Olivia and Brandon were excited to see their cousins Bianca and Kevin who drove all the way down from Seattle to camp with us.  They arrived late in the night on Friday.  Grammy and Papa borrowed a RV from a friend and we enjoyed our newer (we bought in the summer of 2014) 2 room 10 person Coleman tent.  The kids had a lot of fun just hanging out by the campground.

Hi Mom!

We went to the dunes after we had some breakfast.  So much fun running down the dunes.  I loved going to this park when we were little on our way home from Bandon.  We would go almost every time and I had a lot of fond memories.  It was so much fun re-living the experiences with my kids.  It was a sunny day in the morning and it was fairly warm in the 60s for the coast.  We ran down the dunes into the water.

After we played at the dunes we came back to the camp site and Olivia took a nap.  When we got up from the nap, it was beginning to get overcast and we decided to go to the ocean.  It took a while to drive into where we could walk into a beach.  We parked and then had to go up a big hill to the sand dunes and then run down to get to the ocean.

We went back to the camp ground and started cooking dinner and then it rained!  It ended up down pouring all night but we luckily had the RV so were able to watch a movie in there and then go into our tent to sleep. Luckily we had our Rain Fly for the tent and we stayed nice and dry.  We ended up not staying another due to the weather being so unpredictable but we stayed late into the day and went to the ocean again on our way back to Grammy and Papa's house where we stayed the night.  We had a lot of fun camping the second time as a family of four (Brandon's third time camping).  We hope to do it again soon!
