Halloween and the fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the changing colors of the leaves, the crispness of the fall mornings, and football season! I also love dressing the kids in festive Halloween clothes. This year, I went a bit overboard with both kid's Halloween clothes and they had enough to wear almost every day of the week! We started off October going to the Roloff Family farm one weekend in early October when Sean was down in Eugene for the weekend going to a Ducks game. We went with our good friends, the Mowerys who have kids the same ages as our kids. I had never been to the Roloff Farm before but heard good things about it. Unfortunately, the night before we were to go to the farm, Olivia had a fever and wasn't feeling the greatest. They both still wanted to go much that we still went although Olivia was a bit cranky at times because she was not feeling well. We arrived and immediately got in line to go on a tractor ride.

After the tractor ride we came back into the main Adventure Land area and went barrel racing, went on a dirt bike track, went through the spooky forest trail and then went into the pumpkin field to look at pumpkins. There was also a cute little house where a bunch of pumpkins lived together. We had a lot of fun and will be coming back next year for sure!

We went to another pumpkin patch for Olivia's school's field trip at Lee Farms. I got to bring Brandon on the field trip too which was fun. Brandon liked it because he got to see all of his old buddies from Rocking Horse again. The kids learned how to make cider and tasted some, looked a bunch of farm animals, went through a hay maze and got to go down a slide, and then went on a hay ride to pick out some pumpkins. Then they had a picnic lunch. It was a really fun time and it was nice seeing both kids interact with their friends and meet some of the parents.

The kids dressed up to go to a fun Halloween craft party at Bridgeport Village. We were a bit late so we didn't get to play too long but we played on the playground and had fun. Brandon was a Ninja Turtle for Halloween and Olivia was Elsa from Frozen.

The week leading up to Halloween, I had a lot of fun having the kids wearing their matching Halloween jammies that glowed in the dark and we made Halloween sugar cookies and decorated them. We also dressed up and went trick or treating at Olivia's school the Friday before Halloween. That was a lot of fun but Olivia kept trying to steal candy out of her bucket!

On Halloween day, Sean's sister Dawn and her husband Jose and Olivia's cousin Bianca came to spend the weekend with us. Sean's parents also came. It was fun weekend and nice to see all of our family. Olivia particularly liked hanging out with her cousin who is only 3 months younger than her. Unfortunately, the entire weekend it rained a ton. On Halloween night it was raining down buckets. We still went trick or treating but that put a damper on things a bit.
