Olivia's school field trip to Lee Farms Pumpkin Patch

In the middle of October during the same week, I got to go to Olivia's pumpkin patch with her class and then Brandon's pumpkin patch with his class. I was about a month post toe surgery and just beginning to feel up to walking a bit more and able to handle it. Olivia expressed that she really wanted me to travel with her on the school bus to the pumpkin patch so we got the school and I stayed with the class and boarded the bus with them to go the farm. After wanting me to go with her so badly on the bus, Olivia then left me to sit by myself and sat with her two friends on the bus! We got the farm and went on a fun tour of all the farm animals. It was a beautiful October day (unlike poor Brandon's farm experience two days later) and although it was crisp in the morning it did warm up. After being cooped up with my toe post surgery for most of the month, it was just nice to be outside. The farm had a fun presentation of how they made cider and then they got to taste some cider. They then got to see some more farm animals including some pigs and turkeys and then got to do a fun hay maze with a slide at the end. After that, the kids got to walk to the pumpkin patch field and pick out a pumpkin from the field and then take a hay ride back to the farm where they had a picnic lunch. It was a very fun day and Olivia wanted to sit next to me on the way back to the school. Score!
