Our Halloween Party at our house

Some fun "pre-halloween party festivities" with building a Halloween gingerbread house
Olivia just loves the frosting!  Brandon actually liked the decorating
It was quite a struggle to get the house just to stand up
The masterpiece!
We decided the weekend before Halloween to have people over to our house for a Halloween Party and Pumpkin carving party.  We made it open to all ages and invited both friends with kids and kids without kids.  We ended up having quite a good turn out and it was really fun seeing all of our friends.  I love Halloween season and dressing up.  I ended up finding all these cute party food ideas from Pinterest and made two big Crock Pots of my home made chili and had a chili side station.  It was fairly easy and nice to make ahead so I didn't have to worry about doing much once the party started.  I ended up going a bit crazy with the Pinterest ideas but everything was very yummy.  I made tangerine and celery "pumpkins" and "ghosts" made out of bananas and chocolate chips.  I also made a yummy autumn Chex mix and "broomsticks" made out of Reece's peanut butter cups and pretzels.  All of the food was colorful and a hit!  My guests also brought yummy cookies, veggie dip, and a pumpkin that "threw up" spinach dip and crackers.  We had lots of yummy food!

The kids all had a blast dressing up in their Halloween costumes for the party.  Olivia decided she wanted to dress up as Elsa again even though she is going as Rapunzel for Halloween this year.  Brandon chose to be Kylo Wren from the new Star Wars movie from last year and Logan chose to be a storm trooper so it was fun seeing them together.  Brandon got to "boss" Logan around!  I dressed up in my kitty ears (headband) and tried to make a kitty nose and whiskers with my make up (was not lacking the planning in getting face paint!).  Needless to say, we got some fun photos of us dressed up for the party.  The party was fun and people had fun hanging out and talking and going in and out of the garage where we were carving pumpkins.  The food was good and the company was good.  We will have to do it again next year!  The only bummer thing was I was going to pull out our fire pit but it was too rainy (like most of October that year) to enjoy it.

Again, she was more into the frosting than the decorating

 Brandon took it seriously though
