Thanksgiving fun 2018

This year we went to Corvallis for Thanksgiving.  We left on Wednesday after the kids got out school and dance class.  We were fearful that the traffic would be bad but it was not that bad.  We made it in time for dinner and my sister Tory was already there with her husband and 18 month old Sierra.  The kids were happy to see their cousin.  On Thanksgiving morning my Dad and I took Lulu and Pumpkin to Walnut Park to play in the dog park area.  Lulu met a new friend, a lab puppy and had a blast chasing Pumpkin around.  We came back and got ready for Thanksgiving dinner.  Sean made the turkey and I helped him.  It was a yummy turkey this year.  It was so nice that our family was all together and the cousins had a lot of fun playing together.

The next morning Sean and I headed to Fred Meyer to do some Black Friday shopping (I always get my socks for the year there when they are half off!).  We found a few other things at Fred Meyer and then saw that AT&T was doing a deal with iPhones for Black Friday where you buy 1 and get 1 free.  Sean's work also gives him money for a new phone very 2 years so it was  a great deal for us.  I love my new iPhone so much as my old one was 4 years old and the new one takes such awesome photos. We came home and watched the Ducks beat the Beavers in the Civil War.  The kids got to go to a fun movie with Baba.

On Saturday I got up early and finished my Lift 4 6 week program!  I was so happy to finish it.  I had never done such a weight lifting program before and it was fun.  Then we celebrated Christmas early and had our traditional Christmas breakfast of grapefruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, and cinnamon rolls.  The kids then got open stockings from Cici and Baba and then presents from their Aunties and Uncles.  It was fun watching the kids be so excited for their gifts.  Then in the afternoon we went on a hike at Peavy Arboretum in the foggy afternoon.  I got some amazing pictures on my new phone and it was fun playing with it.  We discovered that Lulu loves water and she tried to get in the lake!  That evening we celebrated Brandon and Cici's birthday early and went to Market of Choice where Brandon got to eat yummy sushi (his choice) and then we came back and ate yummy chocolate cake and sang happy birthday to Brandon and CiCi.

We all had to head home on Sunday.  It was sad to say goodbye to every one but we had such a fun time and we had to get back to work and school on Monday.  Such a fun Thanksgiving!
