Brandon's field trip and Field day

Brandon went to Zenner Farms with his class for their 2nd grade field trip at the end of the year. I signed up to be a chaperone and got to travel with the kids on the bus. We started off walking through the field and the kids got to try various vegetables like sugar snaps and a turnip. They also got to pet the chickens. They got to sit around a fire pit and sing songs. They ate lunch and then got the end the day running around the farm having fun before heading back to the school on the bus. It was a very fun day and I am so happy I got to spend it with Brandon and his friends.

The kids had their school field day on the Friday before the last week of school. Of course it was sunny all week and then was supposed to rain heavily on their Field Day. We got lucky because both kids had their Field Day at the same time in the morning. We also got really lucky because it down poured after the kids had their Field Day. The kids wore their Alberta Rider spirit ware and had fun doing all the fun field games. Both kids favorite game was the parachutes and they both also loved the obstacle courses. It was fun way to end the school year.
