Last couple of Baseball games of the season

Brandon had such a fun Little League season.  In May he was doing two baseball games a week with one practice during the week day.  It was amazing to watch how much he progressed this year from being barely able to hit with the coach pitching to him and not knowing how to play in the field to holding his position and making good throws to first and hitting the ball hard and well almost every time he batted.  He was also one of the youngest kids on a team mostly filled with 1st graders with a few 2nd graders even.  What was really fun to watch was Brandon’s good and fun attitude with his team and his enthusiastic cheering on of his teammates.

The team as a whole got 400% better by the end of the season as compared to the beginning of the season.  They even made several outs which is quite hard to do at this age.  The last few weeks they prepared the kids for the next league up and started keeping track of the outs (not allowing the kid to base run if they get out) and having them “strike out” if they can’t hit the ball after several attempts.  After the last game of the season, they had a fun little team party at the playground and the kids got trophies and got to play for a while.  Olivia and Addie were sad that the league was over too I think because they enjoyed getting to see each other so often and play at the playground although I think they got a bit tired of having to stay at the field and watch their brothers play baseball so often (they did bring a lot of toys to play with).  Brandon had such a fun time and enjoyed having Sean help coach the team.  We are excited already for baseball for next season and even signed Brandon up for a baseball camp this summer.
