Releasing Butterflies, Alberta Rider School Field Day and Kindergarten Field trip to the Fire station

At the beginning of June, Brandon's class who had classroom caterpillars and who had watched them to turn into butterflies, got to release them outside.  They had so much fun doing so and they made really cute butterfly hats that they wore outside on the release day.

The Friday before the last Friday of school the kids at Alberta Rider got to have a fun Field Day.  This was done at the school in the back fields where the kids had their Jog-A-Thon.  I had to work that morning but Sean was able to come and watch Brandon do field day and have a lot of fun.  They did various games and obstacle courses.  While it looked like it was going to rain it managed not to which was an added bonus.  Brandon had a lot of fun and it was good exercise.

The last Friday of the school year the kindergarteners got to go on a field trip to the Fire Station.  They were supposed to go to Cook Park as well afterwards but the weather was not very good and it was raining hard so they canceled that part of the field trip.  I was bummed because there was limited space to go to the fire station and I was planning on meeting them at Cook Park.  Instead though they had a fun picnic lunch in their classroom which I got to attend.  Brandon's good friends' Colton and Riley's mom Delaina went on the field trip and got some cute pictures of the kids at the fire station.  The highlight of the tour was see the firemen respond to a real fire!
