A trip to OMSI in late February and Snow!

Brandon had President's Day off in late February and I took the day off to be with the kids.  We ended up going to OMSI for the day and had a blast.  They had a fun optical illusion exhibit with all different lights.  The kids had fun playing in the sparkling white sand and we went all around the museum and ended up spending most of the day there.  The next day there was some snow in the forecast but not much on the ground when the kids left for school.  The forecast ended up getting worse as the day went on so they called for a early release of school and I had to go pick Brandon up early.  I then took him with me on a claim for work that I already had scheduled.  Unfortunately I began feeling quite sick that afternoon and had a fever and flu like symptoms.  It ended snowing quite a bit the next day and the kids stayed home with me during the day.  I felt somewhat well enough to take them out of the house and to go exploring around our neighborhood.  Unlike last year though the snow only lasted another day and then it began melting and Brandon got to go to school with a late start that day.  It was pretty for those few days though.

Both kids still loved the sparkling sand

The optical illusion exhibit was really cool

Trying to sled in the field near our house-there just was not quite enough snow
Watch out for the snow ball!

There was another dusting the next morning-it was so pretty!
