St. Patrick's Day fun!

St. Patrick's day fell on a Saturday this year and it was the Saturday before we left on our trip to Mexico.  Sean had a guy's weekend planned with his buddies for Friday and Saturday so I was home with the kids.  Brandon was fascinated with putting together a leprechaun trap (they were doing one at Olivia's school).  Brandon and I researched the traps on Pinterest and I went to the craft store to get some green paint and other St. Patrick's day crafty stuff for the leprechaun traps.  On Friday evening we began painting the cardboard boxes for the traps but ran out of time as we went to dinner at Panera and had fun shopping at Target and had to get home and go to bed.  The next day we worked on the traps and Sean helped the kids with the final finishing touches.  They looked awesome and ready to catch some leprechauns!

Of course we have to have Lucky Charms for St. Patrick's day breakfast!

Olivia went to gymnastics that day as she had a make up class on Saturday for all her dance/gymnastics classes she was missing over Spring break while we were in Mexico.  Brandon got to hang out with Sean and his friends for a bit at Uncle Brendan's house and then we came back home and the Mowery family came over to play.  The kids and I ended up making a fun dinner together and a very fun caterpillar candy dessert.  The kids' traps did not catch a leprechaun but the leprechaun did leave them each a LOL surprise pet ball.  It was a fun St. Patrick's day.
