Future Puppy!
In January I decided to bite the bullet and begin looking hard at finding a puppy for our family. I had decided on a labradoodle and many of the breeders were sold out already through the summer. Our childhood family friends Kim and Jim McAlexander had decided on getting a labradoodle from a breeder, Northstar Labradoodles in Springfield. I did quite a bit of research and found wonderful things about this breeder. I did an application and they accepted us after interviewing two of our friends. I had decided on Mama Sienna's litter which was supposed to arrive in late August/early September because of good timing of the craziness of the summer being over and she was a great size at 25 lbs (same as the puppy's dad). She also had very pretty markings being red with white markings. I am hopeful I will get a snuggly dog just like Pumpkin. To top things off, I found out that our future puppy and Pumpkin will be 4th generation related through the moms. Sienna is pregnant now with our puppy and we get fun weekly updates on her. The kids are super excited for a pet of their own!
