Early March Fun

The first weekend in March we went down to McMinnville to celebrate my nephew Jasper's 2nd birthday.  My parents met us down there and it was a really nice day.  Before we arrived at my sister's house we stopped at our winery, Sokol Blosser and did some wine tasting and picked up our spring wine shipment.  Then we continued on our way to my sister's house.  Jasper opened up his birthday presents and then we headed to a nearby park to play as the weather was really nice.  We came back to my sister's house and had pizza and brownie sundaes for dessert.  It was really fun watching the cousins interact and play together.  Then we headed home.

The next day the weather was still good and we were finally done with basketball.  After Olivia's gymnastics we headed on a family hike at Tyron Creek park which is not far from us in Portland.  The kids had a blast and it was really nice to get outside and get some exercise and fresh air after being cooped up for most of the rainy winter.

Hiking!

The following week I took the kids to the zoo after school one of the days as the weather was still good.  We love going to the zoo on week days as it is way less crowded.  We ended up dyeing our Easter eggs later on that week as we were going to be traveling to Puerto Vallarta the week before Easter.  The kids picked out shiny metallic dye this time and sparkling dye.  They made some colorful eggs this year!
