Brandon's 9th birthday party

We had Brandon's birthday party Sunday December 8th (6 days after his actual birthday party).  We were scared to have it Thanksgiving weekend as we thought a lot of people would be out of town and we were going up to Seattle that weekend.  We chose to have it Sunday afternoon as we did it that time last year and a lot of people were able to make it.  We also didn't know when Brandon's basketball games were going to be on Saturday.  We got lucky and all of his friends could come to his party!  We chose to have it at SuperPlay in Beaverton as I had purchased a birthday package at the school's auction for laser tag and bowling.  We invited 12 of his friends and had Addie and Olivia come of course so there was a good amount of kids.  We also purchased $7 worth of arcade game cards for the boys to play with after the bowling and laser tag.  I bought pitchers of soda and we had yummy cookies from Honey bee bakery (a local mom who donated the cookies with the birthday auction package we purchased) and cupcakes.

The party started at 3:00 PM and we did a game of bowling first.  The boys had fun bowling although one of the boys accidentally threw their ball into the other lane! It was nice that they could put the bumpers up as needed.  After bowling, the kids got to play a game of Laser tag.  They had a blast doing laser tag and Olivia, Addie, and Sean played too.

Laser tag score-one team did quite a bit better than the other
After laser tag, we sang happy birthday to Brandon and opened up presents and ate cupcakes that I had made.  Brandon enjoyed opening up all of his presents and reading his friends' cards.

Then the kids used their arcade cards and had fun playing games.  I cleaned up and then we headed out and Brandon and I got to take home his friend Josh and John which was fun.  When we got home, Brandon said it was his best birthday party ever.  He had a lot of fun with his friends.
