Thanksgiving 2019

We went up to north to Marysville for Thanksgiving this year to spend it at Sean's sister Dawn's house.  Sean's parents were going up there as well to make for a lot of us together in tight corridors!  The kids went up the day before Sean and I did on Wednesday as they had the entire week of Thanksgiving off and Sean and I both had to work Wednesday.  We had a fun adult night off hanging out with our friends' Ben and Jaime and their friends.  We got up the next morning and drove up.  Unfortunately we hit some accidents and it took us 4.5 hours to get up there!  We made it in time for Thanksgiving dinner.  We had traditional Thanksgiving food and then also traditional Mexican food.  It was super yummy!  Dawn's husband's Jose's family all came over for a bit.  It was a fun night.  We were having so much fun that I didn't get many pictures on Thanksgiving day with all the traveling.

Unfortunately that night I must have eaten something bad and ended up throwing up in the middle of the night.  I slept in but was not feeling my best the next morning.  We did some cyber black friday shopping and relaxed for a while.  Then luckily I was feeling better and we headed to go mini golfing nearby.  Everyone had fun mini golfing and we were able to go to a cool park on the Puget Sound for a bit.  We ended up meeting everyone at a fun local Mexican restaurant.  I had two very strong and yummy Margaritas there.  After that we headed back to Dawn's house and hung out for a while and then we all went to bed.

Mini golf time fun!

The next day was the Oregon Ducks vs. Oregon state Beaver Civil War game.  We had lots of yummy food for the Civil War game and wine.  We ended up watching a very boring game and seeing the Ducks beat the Beavers.  We began packing up and played quite a few fun games of Darts out in Dawn's garage.  We packed up the car the best we could so we could take off early in the morning on Sunday and hopefully beat the bad traffic that was destined to come later.  We said our goodbyes the night before and then were on the road by 7:30 AM.  We were able to make it home by 10:45 AM with little to no traffic and a stop at Subway with an employee who obviously hated her job.  Olivia was thrilled because she was able to go to her friend Maddie's birthday party late and I was thrilled to be home and sleep in my own bed and to take a break from booze for several days...
